POSITION: Property Specialist

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: High School education or equivalent. Associates degree or some college desired.

MONTHS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in property inventory. Exhibits, Convention and Tradeshow experience involving shipping and shipping documentation desired.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Competent with computers; skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Professional email communications practices. Excellent decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments (i.e., setting own schedule, identifying milestones and providing updates throughout completion of work requirements.) Experience working and communicating successfully on teams. Capable and willing to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, as required. Familiarity with MSFC customers and customer culture. Forklift certification. Able to identify and make minimal repairs to property inventory. Individual will maintain electronic databases and inventory of all customer property, to include exhibits, models, murals, mementos, art collection, artifacts, and the Exhibits audio-visual library. Develop and maintain exhibit files, including appropriate property and inventory tracking records. Work within established property databases. Keep inventory records and databases current to ensure successful annual inventory campaign and various property audits. Develop and track all exhibit property loans in support of the Exhibits program. Coordinate shipping documents through the approval process and through transportation departments. Prepare and maintain funding resource database of shipments for all customers. Arrange and maintain a neat, usable, and orderly publications warehouse. Deliver and stock bulk quantities of publications and giveaways, maintaining a database and inventory of all customer publications and giveaways. Collect and submit information for various calendars, schedules, and metrics reports, including museum metrics, quarterly reports, Results Document, etc.
