DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: High School education or equivalent. Technical training desired. Associates degree in mechanical or electrical field desired.
MONTHS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in mechanical or electrical field.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Individual will be required to read and interpret data from scientific instruments or equipment. Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented verbally. Physically able to work at extreme temperatures for short periods of time. Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and /or procedures. Must be able to work around explosives, and missiles and pass an Ammunition and Explosives Certification Training coarse. Able to lift heavy loads within applicable safety standards. Able to work extended hours with little prior notice. May be required to work second and/or third shifts. Off days may be other than Saturday and Sunday. Required to obtain secret security clearance within 60 days of employment. Will perform tasks such as helping higher level Engineering Technicians move, install and connect instrumentation to test articles. Perform installation and removal of test items and fixtures into environmental test facilities and chambers. Use computer-processing software. Possess basic math skills and the ability to find, gather and collect information or data.
